Nada Surf announce one date in the UK

tickets on sale this Friday

news: Wednesday 6th January 2010

Post-grunge rockers Nada Surf have announced details of a new covers album as well as tour dates of Europe and the USA including a one off UK tour date.

The album titled 'If I Had A Hi-Fi' will be initially available exclusively their tour, presumably more UK dates must be on the cards with it also available digitally and/or physically after the tour cycle in May. Songs confirmed to be included are The Moody Blues' 'Question', The Soft Pack's 'Bright Side', Depeche Mode's 'Enjoy The Silence', Arthur Russell's 'Terse' Bill Fox's 'Electrocution' and Mecromina's 'Evolution'. Covers of Kate Bush, the Go-Betweens and Dwight Twilley are also expected.

Singer-guitarist Matthew Caws says, "We really just wanted to do it organically, whatever we felt like covering in the moment, rather than trying to sum up our influences or something. It's whatever we were excited about in the months before making it. And I think we got to everything we wanted to."

The band play at London ICA on Tuesday 13th April. Tickets will go on sale at 9am this Friday, 8th January and eGigs will have links for you to buy them then.
