Paul Weller announces announces additional Royal Albert Hall show

Paul Weller has announced that he will be performing an additional night at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday 26th May after the first two announced nights sold out of standing tickets this morning when they went on general sale at 9am.

Weller started his musical career punk-rock band The Jam before forming The Style Council, and then a successful career as a solo artist. Paul last played the Albert Hall with a full band back in 2004 and returns to the venue to showcase his song repertoir as well as news songs from his forthcoming new album, speculatively titled 'Wake Up the Nation' which will be released Spring 2010 on Island Records.

His Royal Albert Hall dates are as follows:

Mon 24th May Royal Albert Hall, London - some options sold out
Tue 25th May Royal Albert Hall, London - some options sold out
Wed 26th May Royal Albert Hall, London - new date
