news: Wednesday 18th November 2009

The original remaining members of hard rock supergroup Bad Company, Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke have announced that they will reunite, with Howard Leese on guitar and Lynn Sorensen on bass, for a series of eight UK shows in April 2010. This marks the first time the original members will perform in the UK together in over three decades.

The supergoup drew members from 70s acts Free, Mott the Hoople, and King Crimson although bassist Boz Burrell died of a heart attack in 2006. The band also have a live CD/DVD slated for release prior to the tour on 9th February 2010 (Image/Universal Music Group).

Frontman Rodgers has seen over four decades as a writing and recording artist (Free, Bad Company, The Firm, and more recently as Queen + Paul Rodgers) and was presented with the 'Classic Songwriter' award by Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck at the annual Classic Rock Magazine Roll of Honour earlier this year.

"These dates are to thank the fans for keeping the music alive," said Rodgers. Ralphs said, "It's great to be with Paul and Simon. We made great music together and had the time of our lives doing it. I'm really looking forward to us bringing Bad Company back to the UK." Ralphs recently regrouped with 70s rock band Mott the Hoople for five sold-out reunion shows at the Hammersmith Apollo in London Autumn 2009.

Their debut album, titled 'Bad Co. was propelled by the hit single 'Can't Get Enough', reached #1 on the charts and remained in the Top 40 for four months. Bad Company were at the forefront of the 70's arena rock movement. They followed their success with hit after hit, 'Feel Like Makin’ Love', 'Seagull', 'Run with the Pack', 'Burnin’ Sky', 'Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy', making Bad Company one of the biggest concert attractions of the decade. In 1982, the band released their final recording Rough Diamonds and the single 'Electricland' would be their last before disbanding.

Legendary guitarist, Aerosmith co-founding member, songwriter and producer Joe Perry, will be hitting the road as very special guests of Bad Company with Joe Perry Project in support of his fifth solo CD, the critically hailed Have Guitar, Will Travel. In addition to Perry on guitar and vocals, are bassist David Hull (Buddy Miles Band and Joe Perry Project in the 80s), keyboardist/guitarist Paul Santo, (Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton and Ozzy Osbourne), drummer Marty Richards and lead singer Hagen.

Their confirmed tour dates are as follows:
Thu 01 April LG Arena, Birmingham
Fri 02 April MEN Arena, Manchester
Sun 04 April Sheffield City Hall, Sheffield
Mon 05 April Cardiff International Arena (CIA), Cardiff
Wed 07 April Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle upon Tyne
