There is currently no information surrounding the cause of his death, but he died at his home in San Marcos, California, yesterday morning.
The singer rose to prominence during the 60's and he was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991. Many music historians consider Turner to have made the first rock 'n' roll record, 'Rocket 88', back in 1951.
