Summer Series acts announced

The line-up for this year's open air concerts at London's Somerset House, known as the Summer Series, have now been announced.

The event will run from Thursday 12th to Saturday 21st July. Acts confirmed include Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Kasabian, Mogwai and Bert Jansch, who will be performing with guests Beth Orton and Bernard Butler.

Raye Cosbert, Summer Series programmer comments: "The courtyard at Somerset House has shown itself to be one of the best venues in the country for live music of all persuasions. It seems to bring out the best in every artist that plays there. This year’s promises to be very special."

Support acts are to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets go on sale from 10am on Thursday 19th April.
