eGigs 2006 round up

the best and worse of the last year

news: Sunday 31st December 2006

2006 is now drawing to a close, and throughout this year eGigs has brought you the best in live music reviews, news, photographs, and interviews.

This year eGigs has had more live reviews than ever before. Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Jurassic 5, Editors, De La Soul, Katherine Jenkins, Basement Jaxx, Razorlight, The Fratellis, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers are just some of the acts that we have reviewed in the last 12 months.

eGigs has also reported on all the major live music stories of the last year, including the tragic loss of some of music's greatest performers; Gene Pitney, Syd Barrett, Desmond Dekker and only last week James Brown. They will all be sadly missed.

Below is a brief roundup of some of the main stories and reviews from 2006.

January

eGigs had two live reviews of the most hyped band in years; Arctic Monkeys. As well as live reviews of The Strokes, Razorlight, The Spinto Band, XFM Scotland's Launch gig, and many more.
