Gene Pitney dies

in the middle of UK tour

Gene Pitney, the 60s crooner most famous for the songs 'Twenty Four Hours From Tulsa', and 'Town Without Pity' has died today in Cardiff, in the middle of his UK tour. Due to play the Colston Hall, Bristol tonight, he also had shows confirmed in Liverpool, Glasgow, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Blackpool, Manchester, Llandudno and Buxton this month. Cause of death is still unknown, but is not thought to be suspicious. He will be missed. RIP Gene - touring to the very end.
