Clapton whips up original Cream

a reformation worth having!

news: Monday 20th December 2004

Eric Clapton has told BBC Radio 2's Johnnie Walker show that Cream are to reunite for four shows at London's Royal Albert Hall in May. These are, apparently, the only shows scheduled.

The trio - Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, and Ginger Baker - last played together in January 1993, at their induction into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame. Before that, it was waaaay back in 1968.

The timing couldn't be more apt. Sixties-style blues based music is on the up, as people finally get bored of the 'indie' based sounds that has dominated the guitar groups of the last fifteen years. eGigs expects bands with influences stretching back further than the 'Madchester' scene to make an impact over the coming year.

Information regarding ticket sales is not yet known, but they're expected to go on sale soon. Tickets are likely to sell out extremely quickly, whatever the price.
