American rockers The Black Crowes have announced their return to the live music scene with their 'Lay Down With Number 13' tour.

The band who formed in 1989, have made nine studio albums including their debut 'Shake Your Money Maker', and its smash follow-up, 'The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion', as well as four live albums and several charting singles. They first went on hiatus between 2002 and 2005, and in 2010 took to the road with a 20th anniversary 'Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys' tour that was followed by an ongoing second hiatus.

Now the band are back with 26 live dates in the US and UK through March to May and will release a live album 'Wiser For The Time' recorded at the end of 2010, and released in March. There's also a personnel change with Jackie Greene on guitar replacing Luther Dickinson who is currently fronting North Mississippi Allstars.

Jackie will join brother Chris and Rich Robinson, and Steve Gorman, Sven Pipien, Adam Macdougall for their five UK tour dates, which are:

Sun 24th March Manchester Academy, Manchester
Mon 25 March O2 Academy, Birmingham
Wed 27 March O2 Academy, Glasgow
Fri 29 March The Forum, London
