Athlete celebrate 10 years of Vehicles & Animals with tour

tickets go on sale on Friday

Ten years ago South East London's Athlete released their debut album, 'Vehicles & Animals', on Parlophone and were given a Mercury Music Prize nomination for their efforts. The album has long since surpassed platinum status, and the quartet are celebrating their opus with an anniversary tour.

This short run of UK shows will be their first tour in two years and will see them play the whole of the album including the singles 'You Got The Style', 'Westside', 'Beautiful' and 'El Salvador'.

The band have gone on to sell more than a million copies of their four studio albums (the other three being 'Tourist', 'Beyond The Neighbourhood' and 'Black Swan>') and fans can also expect a selection of other hits such as 'Wires', 'Half Light', 'Superhuman Touch' plus a few surprises.

The dates will be

Wed 08 May The Junction, Cambridge
Thu 09 May O2 Academy, Bristol
Fri 10 May O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London
Sat 11 May HMV Ritz, Manchester
Sun 12 May O2 Academy 2, Birmingham

Tickets are priced at £18.50 (£21.50 London) and go on sale on 9.30am on Friday 30th November and eGigs will have links to buy them then.
