news: Friday 20th February 2009

Former Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins' new band Hot Leg, and Brighton based quartet The Crave, have announced a string of tour dates over the next few weeks.

The Lowestoft-born Hawkins shot to the heights of fame with The Darkness – and fell from grace when the rock group split. Now he's back for another taste of stardom with his new band. They have released their debut album, 'Red Light Fever' on their own label, Barbeque Rock and with bandmates guitarist Pete Rinaldi, bassist Samuel Stokes and drummer Darby Todd, they're ready to hit the road.

The rockin' quartet of The Crave have just finished a tour of Europe with US rockers Shinedown, and are rising stars in the rock firmament. The band spent much of 2008 recording songs for their debut album 'Anywhere to Everywhere' and playing up and down the country spreading their infectious riff-tastic rock. Make sure you check them out.

The people behind Harley Davidson also checked out the band on the Brit Bus tour, and as a result invited them to Milwaukee to film a video for one of their tracks 'Bring It On' to promote the 105th Harley Davidson Anniversary Festival. It went down so well they were asked to return for an eight week tour in 2008 to promote the event, and finished being the only unsigned act to play alongside such legends as Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters.

You can see the two bands on the following tour dates:
Thu 26 February The Limelight, Belfast
Sun 01 March TJs, Newport
Mon 02 March The Fleece, Bristol
Wed 04 March Manchester University, Manchester
Thu 05 March Cabaret Voltaire, Edinburgh
