Homegrown British reggae act UB40 have just announced a new 'Labour Of Love Tour' around the country for November 2009.
The band who formed in 1978 in Birmingham have had more than 50 charting hits including 'Red Red Wine', 'Can't Help Falling in Love', and 'I Got You Babe' will be taking to the road for a twelve-date tour, with more dates to be added shortly.
This will be the band's second tour since singer Ali Campbell quit in January this year. Their last UK tour took place shortly after the lead singer's departure due to 'management difficulties'. In June this year the band released the album 'TwentyFourSeven' a vintage UB40 album and the last to feature Ali Campbell.
Their tour dates, confirmed so far, are as follows:
Mon 23 November SECC & Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow
Tue 24 November Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle upon Tyne
Fri 04 December Sheffield Arena, Sheffield
Sat 05 December MEN Arena, Manchester
Sun 06 December Liverpool Echo Arena, Liverpool
Tue 08 December Bournemouth International Centre (BIC), Bournemouth
Wed 09 December Brighton Centre, Brighton
Sat 12 December The O2 Arena, London
Tue 15 December Plymouth Pavillions, Plymouth
Wed 16 December Trent FM Arena, Nottingham
