Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters and Madonna and loads more acts have been confirmed for the Live Earth - The Concert for a Climate in Crisis gig, which happens at London's Wembley Stadium on Saturday 7th July (as well as other cities around the world).
Other confirmed acts are Razorlight, Beastie Boys, Keane, Duran Duran, Bloc Party, Genesis, David Gray, Corinne Bailey Rae, John Legend, Damien Rice, Black Eyed Peas, James Blunt, and Paolo Nutini.
In anticipation of overwhelming demand for tickets and to ensure that everyone gets a fair opportunity to participate in Live Earth, and minimize ticket misuse, the event organisers will be allocating ticket sales by ballot. Those wanting to get their hands on tickets - which will cost £55 - can apply from midday on Friday for the following 72 hours at http://www.livenation.co.uk/liveearth.
"By attracting an audience of billions, we hope Live Earth will launch a global campaign giving a critical mass of people around the world the tools they need to help solve the climate crisis," said Live Earth Co-Chair Vice President Al Gore. "But ultimately, corporations and governments must become global leaders taking decisive action to stop global warming."
