"We emplore every one of you to log on to Global Cool and save our world. We live on such a beautiful planet and we need to save it for our children, our children’s children and our children’s children’s children"
(Ana Matronic, Scissor Sisters)

Kicking off the show in full Halloween costume, the Scissor Sisters transformed Brixton’s Carling Academy into a deadly den of horror and exhibitionism. The band Performed to a packed out venue at Brixton's Carling Ademy, full of fans dressed in compulsory Halloween attire.

The idea was for the band to get all of their guests behind Global Cool’s campaign and collectively make a valuable difference to defeat global warming.

Ana Matronic gave a massive cheer on stage and encouraged fans to get involved with the campaign: "We emplore every one of you to log on to Global Cool and save our world. We live on such a beautiful planet and we need to save it for our children, our children’s children and our children’s children’s children."

Tickets for the show met an amazing response, selling out in an incredible 90 minutes via the Global Cool website www.global-cool.com. But those who missed out will be trick or treated to a host of special content including exclusive footage of the Scissor Sisters’ getting ready for the show in their dressing room and a one-off interview about the cause and a sneak preview of their upcoming plans.

Launching officially in December 2006, Global Cool believes that the solution to defeating global warming lies within the power of the individual and will take the entertainment world by storm by hosting a series of inspirational and upbeat events to urge people around the world to pledge their one tonne reduction. Further details on these events and information on how to become more environmentally efficient and reduce CO2 emissions are to be announced shortly.
