Personally i think the venue that was one of the oddest nights in my life was the primrose open mike night!
it was crazy biggrin.gif

fave venue gotta b cockpit biggrin.gif
salt
Personally my favourite is the 'Brudenhall Social Club' Last band I saw there was 'Explosions in the Sky' [who were ace smile.gif ].

I love the fact that it is also a prober-bo working mans club that sells hot samoosas behind the bar, and serves yer booze in glass.

The decor is a hoot as well.

Second fave is the Cockpit.

I think the royal park cellars cos they are so grotty, but on a bigger bands scale I'm torn between the cockpit and lmu... blink.gif

Yeah The Hifi's good for gigs, saw the Futureheads there about a year ago, it was ace, pretty small venue with a nice varied bar! Only other place I've been to for gigs is the Met, seemed pretty good there, but a bit too square in shape for my tastes

Have any of you been to the Blank Canvas in Leeds???

What the sound like in there for a live electric gig
jonny_quest
appalling, lots of background type noise, saw ordinary boys and kaiser chiefs there

after seeing fall out boy at the cockpit last night, i have to say that is my favourite of the 2 leeds venues i've been to. the other being leeds met, which is an awesome venue.

Josephs Well. They get the best bands in, especially America's punk stuff. Indeed it is small, hot, takes all night to get served, but it sounds swell with a good atmosphere.
