Sorry the record company press release got to you first as we wanted to speak to you guy before anyone else.
Yes, Mark has left the band.
I started the group with Mark 10 years ago and he was a massive part of Snow Patrol and my life throughout that decade.
However over the last 18 months, touring has taken it’s toll on the rest of the bands relationship with him.
This is the hardest decision we have ever had to make, and believe us when we say we didn’t make it lightly. It got to the stage that things couldn’t go on as they were, so we felt there was no other course of action but this.
I know you will all be distressed and may not understand this news but we had to do what was best for the band. At present we are in Ireland writing and demoing the new album.
We wish Mark all the love and hope for the future.

Anywho, rumour has it that his replacement is Pablo from Terra Diablo so they should be back up to full strength for any forthcoming dates
