i read on ch4 teletext a while back that they would play glasto, the gigs in december will be they`re last as a tour, but glasto will be they`re final gig, lets hope that report is correct biggrin.gif

. Faithless are also very likely to play, having turned down the chance to play in 2004 as they want to play Glastonbury as the close to the tour for their current album.

I'm going to Faithless on the 10th as well! Although, it's gonna be very hard for anything to beat the prodigy last night.

Ohhh I think they might. And Groove Armada last week were better than Prodigy, but that might be because I prefer GA to Prodigy.

Faithless will rule victorious though!!!! biggrin.gif

We're all off to One Central after Faithless if you (or you David) fancy meeting up??

No way, I went to Groove Armada as well, and Prodigy were so much better! The crowd got into it a lot more...

Umm, maybe will see if I have any money, where's One Central?

WHAT?!?! Are you having a laugh?? I agree the crowd went more mental than they did at GA, but that's to be expected at a Prodigy gig. GA came out for TWO encores, surely due to the amount of cheering/screaming they got?!?!? Put it this way, Groove Armada were on until about 12.30, Prodigy was all done and dusted by 10.45!!!! blink.gif

I'm not sure where One Central is, I think it's only a bus ride away though.
wee_insomniac
I thought in terms of quality rather than quantity, and getting the crowd revved up, the prodigy wins, also I think that both bands had pre-decided how long they were gonna be on for. Groove Armada didn't even come on until about 10.30, prodigy came on about 9.15 I think...
I guess I have been anticipating seeing the prodigy for so long, that when it kicked off, it was just amazing. We will see after faithless...

I looked up One Central, and it is at 1 Central Street, near St Peter's Square

We'll have to agree to disagree then, but Faithless will beat them both, I'm sure of that. wink.gif

Never heard of them but they announced that on Radio 1 this morning also.

I don't think I will go to One Central as I am very skint atm, but will be going down to Harry's Bar in the UMIST student's union, there's a christmas party on friday night and a late bar, plus cheap drinks!!!

Sounds interesting, what sort of music does One Central play? Txt me at the gig smile.gif

Mylo is very good and will encourage me to get there early tongue.gif

Woww, I thought Prodigy were good but Faithless even better, both are in my top ten gigs of all time biggrin.gif , Took a little while to get going but then were almost perfect, Maxi's voice is really something. "We Become One" sent tingles down my spine and lifted the roof off the place. I'm now seriously thinking of getting tix for their MEN gig next year, though it probably won't have the same intimate atmosphere of tonight. I do hope (a) they never split up and (cool.gif they play Glasto next year cool.gif

Faithless were pretty good, but never out did the prodigy, who were fecking legends, so there tongue.gif anyways, faithless put on a good set, and the cheering crowd(after they left the stage) was one of the loudest for a while.

Oh well
Faithless are cool, but prodigy are just gods

Sorry for not texting you David - May be something to do with too many double vodka, lime and lemonades before the gig, and too many 'other things' during!!!

Did you go to One Central??
David
Sounds like you had a good night Katster biggrin.gif . In the end I just headed back to Blackpool, dropped the car off and popped into a local bar smile.gif

I'm back in Manchester this Thursday on a works 'do' at The Britannia Hotel, is it any good? Then on Saturday a few of us are going to the Pogues gig at the MEN which should be fun wink.gif

I'm not saying that faithless were bad, when they played insomnia it was amazing, I knew when he started reciting the lyrics, which song it was, and I was crazy!!! I guess I just like prodigy's music more, that's all.
Katster
Guess who's going to see them AGAIN in April?!?!

MEN won't be as good a venue but we've got standing tickets so we'll just have to ignore the minions up at the back!
David
Im still persuading my M8s to go next year, hopefully there will be standing tickets left by the time (if) it comes together sad.gif

Britannia hotel was ok, but the food sucked, and I felt like I was in an episode from The Office wiv all the corporate parties going on rolleyes.gif
