As normal the NME will be taking over the Astoria for much of the month of February with their awards shows. The first few of this years have now been announced. A couple of them look very good indeed.

good to see The Subways progressing ... i've now had quite a few people say to me "have you heard of The Subways" since I first saw them at the Glasto competition finals last year (which they won, along with BlackBud).

Although good, and talented, I do wonder how long a career they might make of it ... to my mind, they seem to be on the wrong end of a musical trend.

Mind you, having an attractive girl band member (and how many bands have a really attractive memebr? Not many ... that's how come people end up with the hots for Kelly Osbourne ) is bound to help them last a litlte longer.

Ordinary Boys have been one of my bands of the year. Were fantastic at the festies I saw 'em at, and the album is superb. Can't wait for the next one.
