What with all this re-recording of the band aid single, will live aid happen again? and if so, who will perform? and where will it be? Will it be the likes of Jamelia, Will Young, Kylie, Dizzee Rascal, Robbie Williams and Busted? Thoughts Please!

Well firstly I hope that the re-recording of the song awakens the nation from its slumber on the couch watching f**king X-factor and actually makes people realise how good they've got it and how hideous it must be living in Sudan at the moment. That's the first hurdle to overcome, and judging by people's attitudes these days, it's a large hurdle.
It may prompt another large gig, but whether it would be on the scale of Live Aid is debatable. That event broke entirely new ground at the time and that's why it has left such a memorable mark on the people who watched it at the time.
Anyone under 25 won't realistically remember the original, and so for that reason there should be another one and you'd have to say the best venue would be Hyde Park, to cram in as many paying punters as possible.
The only problem is, the line up probably would be along the lines of what you suggest above, insomniac!!
