No more travelling to Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham or London for us tykes!

not a good thing imo, while I don't think venues in Sheffield will suffer too much, I really don't think the city needs it, I'm hoping that it draws more artists to the city (although any moderate sized tour comes to Sheffield now a days), rather than takes them from other clubs.

I still can't find any info on the Brighton one!!!

Nah, there's not much about the Leeds one, other than where it is! I can't see any work happening on the site......

Carling Academy venues are soul destroying places. I detest them.

I do like the Carling Academy venues for gigs but give a me a small dingy non-commercial rock place any day.
