New Single & Album release dates ohmy.gif biggrin.gif cool.gif !!!

On January 17th the Chemical Brothers return with 'Galvanize', a full blooded pulsing dancefloor anthem, featuring the vocal talents of US rapper Q-tip. From its pounding bass to its classic breakdown, it is the Chemical Brothers at their prime.

'Galvinize' is the first single to be taken from the forthcoming new studio album 'Push the Button' due for release on January 24th, it's an immense and brooding album that looks set to once again revitalise dance music into 2005 and beyond, marking more than ten years of relevance in clubland.

It's choc full of new areas, so as well as news, tour dates and the message board you can now download wallpaper and buddy icons, there is a mobile area for all your ringtunes, you can check out all your favourite tunes and videos and there will also be a fully fledged shop for all your Chems needs. The new site will be up from midday GMT on the 7th January so have a look round and let us know your thoughts via the feedback section.

Also for all you UK viewers the album TV advert will be interactive for Sky/Ch.4 digital viewers, which is the first time in the world a music advert is going to be interactive, more details to follow, remember to Push The 'Red' Button

PUSH THE BUTTON OUT MONDAY!


It's here, the long wait is over, Push The Button is out monday and I can't believe it, so make sure you are out Monday morning at your favourite record shop or buy direct from somewhere like Amazon now! As we speak Galvanize is riding high in the UK midweek chart at #3, the highest entry since Hey Boy Hey Girl, which is great news.

I listened to the extra track on the single 'electronic battle weapon no 7' and it brought back the memories of watching the 'scary clown' on the video screen while watching Tom and Ed in a spangled state at Creamfields!

The current TV ad is interactive for all you digital viewers so keep and eye out for the first major TV spot on Sunday in the great new Ch.4 documentary 'Cocaine' at 8.30pm GMT, remember to Push The RED Button. You can also access via your 'interactive' button on your Sky control and listen to album tracks, watch the video and see a great new interview with Tom and Ed. Our friends at CH.4 are also so excited they have added the jukebox to their website as well!

You can also download a great Push The Button signature from the download section on the Chems website chems website, just follow the instructions and it's free! Also for your mobile, there is scary clown from the live shows, produced by Vegetable Vision, just go to the mobile section on the website and follow instructions, it's only £1.50!

Well looking good, 'Push the Button' went in at number one in main BBC Album chart and has just slipped back to only no 6. 'Galvanize' has done 2 weeks in the BBC singles top 5 so far and only a few weeks before we see them at Manchester yayyyyyyyy biggrin.gif

So do I, and its looking likely they will do at least a couple. Would usually need a crack team of heavies from Stuart Security to keep them away from Glasto even if they only DJ'ed there this year tongue.gif . The new extended Global Gathering is my other informed guess so far wink.gif

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS ANNOUNCE V FESTIVAL 05 HEADLINE AND 2nd SINGLE DETAILS


The Chemical Brothers are gearing up to set this years V Festival alight, on the weekend of 20th and 21st August 2005 the long reigning clubland duo will positively explode onto the 2nd stage for a V Festival 10th anniversary extravaganza.

Organisers of the V Festival have just announced that The Chemical Brothers will play Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Saturday and Weston Park, Staffordshire on Sunday with legendary firestarters The Prodigy playing alternate days. Both acts will join main stage co-headliners Scissor Sisters and Franz Ferdinand as part of what will be an 80 strong line up.

The Chemical Brothers will appear exclusively at this years V – their only UK festival performance. Having delighted a cross-section of music lovers over their 10 year career, The Chemical Brothers continue to reign supreme, their latest offering Push the Button is their 4th consecutive number one album and their fastest selling album ever in the UK. Most will still have their latest infectious single Galvanize imprinted on their minds, charting at number three, this is the bands highest single position since ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’ in 1999 and as if that wasn’t enough, the single has completely dominated the number one spot of the UK download chart for five consecutive weeks!

Tom & Ed have also confirmed their 2nd single to be released from current album 'Push The Button', 'Believe' featuring Kele Okereke from Bloc Party! The package will include remixes from Erol Arkan, Mathew Jonson, two exclusive tracks Giant & Spring and is released on 18th April

Just been to see them at the manchester apollo, and they are absolutely amazing!!!!!! One of the best dance acts I have seen live. Everyone should go see them if they get the chance!

They were truly excellent! Visually as well as sound, and I thought the support Band, secret machine, were good too. Will put up a link to some pics i took of the gig this weekend if I get time smile.gif
