Just recently discovered a band called I Am Kloot. What a superb lyricist John Bramwell is! Has anyone seen them live? It look's like there's a small tour of Holland then followed by a new album in the new year.

they most certainly are superb! although i have never actually bought anything by them (shame on me), i've seen them a few times over the last few years at festivals and the like - i discovered them when they were supporting someone (can't for the life of me remember who though) a few years ago! they're fantastic live, i've got quite emotional watching them in the past!
good on yer for discovering them - better late then never eh! biggrin.gif

I also had my first Kloot experiance when they were in support... to Travis at the Hammersmith Apollo, and have been hooked ever since. Amazing live, amazing on record, it really gets no better than I Am Kloot.

I'm going to try and pop over to Holland at the same time as the tour. Last time I checked tho there were no Amsterdam dates! New album due in the first couple of months next year, should be touring these shores around then.

Maff, see them while you can. They WILL be big!

For the record John actually did some earlier solo stuff under the name Johnny Dangerously. Keep your eyes peeled for it, it occasionally pops up on ebay.

Ive discovered them supporting Turin Brakes last year and was fairly gutted that I had arrived late and only caught half their set. Probably my favourite 'support band Id never heard of' to date.

FYI the band have announced a Christmas homecoming gig at Night and Day in Manchester on 16/12. No sign of there being any other shows tho'.

It seems the band have also now announced a tour of... London! It does however take in my new favorite drinking hole, The Boogaloo!

24/1 The Boogaloo, N6
25/1 Halfmoon Putney, SW15
26/1 Reliance, EC1
27/1 Barfly Acoustic, NW3
