Hope you don't mind sparing a sec to read this.

I've never been a fan of anything that relied on page views, votes etc, but I couldn't resist giving this a shot.

You don't have to sign your life away to anything, you just have to click on this link and view my little spiel about how I ran away to the Maldives : ) It's a competition I've entered : ) On July 9th, the Top 50 get through to some judges pontificating after that about what travel tip they believed was best.

I don't use Twitter, but if you do, I would be most obliged if you could tweet it and ask your friends to retweet it to spread the word or if you could ask any friends to, too. I know Twitter for word of mouth stuff is awesome : )

Please note I never normally ask this kind of stuff of anyone as I get very shy about asking favours for myself.

The contest ends on July 9th and I am kind off in the middle of the Top 50 at the moment, and a few votes either way will be all it takes I suspect come that date. There are people out there who will no doubt get hundreds if not thousands of votes more than me, but if on that date I'm 49th or 50th I will be happy

I would just like to be a contender
