What's this venue like? Charlatans are on there, first band to play there since the Smiths, 1985.

Hmmmmm....................its kinda like the assembly hall in a school. Big stage with nice red curtains at either side, lovely wooden parquet floor and a balcony bit above.
Ive been to two things in there and both of them were my graduation ceremonys - wish they'd of put some concerts on when I was at uni there.

Can recommend a good pub though for before / after - turn left when you leave Maxwell and follow the road round the bend in the river (about 5 minutes walk) and theres a pub down the bottom of some steps called The Old Pint Pot...............spent the best part of four years in that pub...............

Or you've got The Crescent opposite The Old Pint Pot with a fine selection of real ales.
