KAV has had many supporters over the years from the likes of the late Tony Wilson, to Howard Marks (Mr Nice) who he recently collaborated with his release ‘The Mr Nice EP’, surrounding the release of Howard’s biopic film ‘Mr Nice’. Working & touring with various musical greats over the past few years, his influences come from far & wide. He has an unrelenting dedication & passion for music. Antlered Man offers a fusion of aggressive riff-driven guitar and delicate orchestral sounds, influenced by the likes of Melvins, REM, Trail Of Dead, Radiohead and the deadbeat hero, Doug Stanhope. Early demo recordings were frequently played on Xfm and BBC Radio 6. Since then a self-funded debut album has been recorded and awaits release. “This is a new kind of beast, Antlered Man has emerged as some unholy hybrid of QOTSA and Akron/Family. Part rock, part folk, part otherworldly. Big riffs combine with whistling, flute, violin and shredded slide guitar. Beware World, a new behemoth strides out across the land“. JOHN KENNEDY XFM. ******* RAQUELS - 9:30pm www.myspace.com/raquelsofficial Raquels are are four piece indie band based in Basildon, Essex. Being from a place so sinonymous with crime, violence and all the spoils of the nouveau riche you can’t help but feel it has had an unquestionable influence on their music. Dark and brooding like the history surrounding the Basildon club from which they take their name with sharp glacial guitar sounds, drum beats faster than a Ford XR2 & a vocal delivery so honest you cannot doubt the twisted tales of everyday life in a typical new town. ******* JEYE T - 8:30pm www.25hourconveniencestore.com/jeye-t/ www.myspace.com/tierneyjohn Glasgow based singersongwriter Jeye T has been labeled as Nirvana meets Oasis, it’s easy to see what the excitement is about and why music mogul Alan McGee rates Jeye T so highly, there is no one in the music industry doing what Jeye T is doing right now which is mixing indie with grunge. Jeye T new EP is out on May 16th released by 25 Hour Convenience Store on iTunes! "Jeye T is a massive talent just waiting to break through. he’s played my club nights deathdisco and greesylips on many occasions and is one to watch" ALAN MCGEE "As a singer song writer, jeye t’s talent is unparalleled and he has written a body of work that not only stands up by todays standards but should stand the test of time. his shear rock and roll machismo will be a welcomed addition to rock’s high society" GARY POWELL "Jeye T’s got great tunes going on" EX OASIS BONEHEAD *********************************************************** LINKS... www.25hourconveniencestore.com www.broccolievents.com www.twitter.com/Broccoli_Events www.linkedin.com/companies/832919 www.myspace.com/541996603 *********************************************************** See you at the bar Gary Powell and Broccoli Events
